About Leather & CITES

Every piece tells a unique story. As a natural material, exotic leather evolves over time—softening, maturing, and developing a soulful patina that is unique to your journey.

Because we work with genuine hides, no two items are identical. Each skin possesses its own signature texture, markings, and organic wrinkles. While we strive for consistency, the scale patterns, grain size, and exact cut may vary slightly from the images shown on our website.

A Note on Colour: Each hide reacts uniquely to the dyeing and treatment process, which may result in subtle shade variations. Please also note that screen settings on different devices can slightly alter the appearance of colours. We view these nuances not as flaws, but as the hallmark of true, artisanal leather.

Preserving Your Piece

Protect from Heat: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or high temperatures can cause leather to dry, crack, or lose its natural luster. Store your item in a cool, shaded environment.

Guard Against Moisture: Exotic skins are highly sensitive to water. Moisture can strip the natural oils from the leather, leading to warping or discolouration. If it gets wet, pat dry immediately with a soft, lint-free cloth.

Avoid Oils & Chemicals: Oils, perfumes, and creams can penetrate the skin, causing permanent staining or altering the finish. Always handle your leather with clean, dry hands.

CITES & Sustainability

At Jevon Leather, we are committed to the ethical treatment of animals and the conservation of our planet’s biodiversity. We source exclusively from suppliers who adhere to the highest international standards of welfare and environmental conservation.

What is CITES?

CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) is a global agreement that ensures the trade of certain plants and animals is sustainable and legal. Because our products use exotic leathers, we include all necessary legal permits with international orders. This ensures your package clears customs smoothly and supports the ethical sourcing of natural materials.
